Results of the laboratory tests of paints priming enamel [SBE]-111 “Of [unipol]” of stamp [v]

1. Introduction

Priming enamel [SBE]-111 “Of [unipol]” stamp [v] is intended for the corrosion protection of metal structures and equipment, working at a temperature not higher than 50° [s] before the highly aggressive media, including for the internal surface of equipment.

2. Experimental part

The purpose of the work is the analysis of the anticorrosive properties of the paint and varnish coat “Of [unipol]” of stamp explosives the laboratory conditions accordingly of test program.

2.1 preparation at the point of the tests

The paint and varnish coat ([LKP]), accordingly the diagram, indicated before the table, brought by brush down both sides of the metallic models, prepared based on steel of the stamp Of [st].[Z] for the sake of the size of 150x70x1,5 mm.

The surface of metallic plates was preliminarily sandblasted down degree of 2 according to GOST 9.402-80 and it was degreased.

Endurance of models with [LKP] before conducting of tests was 10 days at room temperature under laboratory conditions.

Thickness [LKP] was measured for the sake of the method of the nondestructive testing with the aid of magnetic type thickness gauge constant K -5.

2.2 conducting the laboratory tests

2.2.1 testing at the point of resistance to the static action of the concentrated hydrochloric acid performed according to ALL-UNION STATE STAN. 9.403-80 “coatings varnish-and-paint. Methods for testing at the point of resistance to the static action of liquids”.

Before the exsiccator with the solution of concentrated hydrochloric acid (35%) they vertically placed the painted models before 2/3 heights and capped.

Duration of tests at a temperature + (20±2)° with 30 days (720 hours).

At the point of the criterion of evaluation of the shielding properties of paint and varnish coat the index of adhesion about the method of lattice cuts assumed (ALL-UNION STATE STAN. 15140-78).

A change in the decorative and shielding properties of paint and varnish coats was determined by comparison for the sake of the control model by the naked eye, also, with the aid of the magnifier.

The results of visual inspection and the indices of the adhesion before and after of testing are represented before Table 2.

3. Conclusions and the recommendation

Are noted satisfactory shielding properties [LKP] (“[Unipol] of the stamp C - of black color) after testing before the concentrated (35%) hydrochloric acid.

We consider possible application before the experimental-industrial order of priming enamel [SBE]-111 “Of [unipol]” of stamp [v] (black color) for the protection of the internal surface of the capacities, utilized for storing the concentrated hydrochloric acid.
